I have done very little research into the views and beliefs of the CoS, or any study of its founder, Anton LaVey. Would anyone mind highlighting a few specifics for me?

well i would, CoS is well, i found its members a tad stupid and unenlightened to say the least...if you like the philosophy i can give you something much better which you will truly enjoy. www.xeper.org this is the breakaway from the CoS that is much more scholarly, intelligent, and cooler. I think you will agree after you start reading it. The CoS members scare me, you speak out of turn, and they beat the living nuts out of you...trust me here, you may want to check out the Temple of Set, which is on the link i just gave you. but then again if you like having the nuts beat out of you by a bunch of people that think they know what satanism means...by all means take ur chances.

Though I don't know much about the Church itself or the members, I think the member now a day are like this. Though the ones back then weren't, I'm not a Satanist but to get a good idea of what Anton was getting at I say read the Satanic Bible, I'm on the last book in it right now, though I don't agree with a lot of stuff in there, there are some stuff I do.
